Envirolyte Commercial Water Electrolyzer Cells


 

Envirolyte Industries is the world’s leading manufacturer of Proprietary Commercial Water Electrolyzer Cells in which Estonian technology that originated in Russia is used in manufacturing Circular Water Ionizer Cells.

Circular Water Ionizer Cells provide the greatest area of electrode surface with the highest possible electrolysis efficiency. 

The Anode and Cathode electrodes of Envirolyte Water Electrolyzer Cells consist of tubular cylinders of Titanium with a proprietary 8-layered coating of Platinum and other rare metals to produce extremely robust and durable electrodes that last up to 10 years -- versus as little as 6 months before the electrodes must be replaced in their competitor’s water cells.

Envirolyte Commercial Water Electrolyzer Cells withstand 50 Volts DC, compared to no more than 18 Volts in their competitor’s water cells.

Due to lack of technical know-how and to lower their manufacturing costs, some of Envirolyte’s competitors coat their titanium electrodes by dipping them in Platinum which does not produce a multi-layered coating of uniform thickness that is essential to the efficiency and life of the electrode.

In some instances, competitors use metals other than Titanium as the electrode core, which further diminishes the quality and efficiency of their water cells.

Titanium is used in Envirolyte Electrolyzer water cells for its resistance to corrosion and the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. 

In its unalloyed condition Titanium is as strong as steel, but 45% lighter in weight.

Titanium has a melting point of 3034° Fahrenheit. 

Titanium is virtually non-magnetic, making it ideal for applications where Electro-Magnetic Forces exist. 

Unlike most of their competitors who don’t want their water cell technology known or copied, Envirolyte does not engage in mystery or conceal the basic details of their water cell construction since they want their customers to know the superior quality and durability of their water cells.

To date, no competitor has developed an Electrolyzer cell that is equal to Envirolyte’s Round Water Cells. 

Envirolyte estimates it would take an experienced Research and Development Team 3 to 5 years and USD $1 to $2 million in cost to develop a comparable water Electrolyzer cell.

Envirolyte obtained and evaluated a round water cell that had been reverse-engineered from an Envirolyte cell and determined that it was only 25% as efficient as an Envirolyte water cell.


Flat Versus Round Water Cell Technology

Flat Cell technology consists of rectangular units that have a series of flat electrode plates [gray] separated by membrane barriers [white] as show in the following photo in which half of the electrode plates and 1 membrane barrier have been removed for the purpose of system illustration.


 

The white dividers are Membrane Barriers to separate the Acidic Ionized Water from the Alkaline Ionized Water.  The 2 thin gray plates are Electrodes [Anode & Cathode].

In a Flat Water Cell, multiple flat electrode plates are used to create maximum surface area of the Cathode and Anode Electrodes.

The serpentine maze of electrode plates and membrane barriers actually restricts the hydraulic flow of the feed water through a flat ionizer cell – versus the unimpeded smooth laminar flow in an Envirolyte round water cell.

Korean & Chinese commercial water ionizers use flat cell technology since they have not perfected a round water cell that works. 

Even the Japanese have been unable to design and produce round water cells that are equal to Envirolyte technology.

Meanwhile, flat cell technology isn’t able to compete with Envirolyte round cell technology due to the following limiting factors:

Ø      Due to hydraulic resistance, the flow of feed water through a flat water cell is impeded by the multiple physical barriers of flat electrode plates and separation membranes.

Ø      Flat water cells are incapable of producing the large quantities of ionized water that are required for commercial and industrial applications. 

The use of multiple flat water cells ganged together is impractical -- as is the manufacture and use of one gigantic flat water cell.

Ø      Flat water cells cannot withstand more than 18 Volts DC – versus 50 Volts DC that is used with Envirolyte round water cells.

Ø      Flat electrode plates normally have just 1 layer of Platinum coating – versus 8 layers in an Envirolyte round water cell which is robust and heavy-duty with the electrodes lasting up to 10 years instead of having to be replaced in as little as 6 months in flat water cells.

Ø      The serpentine maze of electrodes and membrane barriers in flat water cells are more prone to accumulation of scale and blockage from hardness minerals, with a flat water cell more difficult to fully clean with acid flushing.

By contrast, Envirolyte round water cells offer the following advantages:

  1.  A round water cell produces a massive amount of ionized water versus the limitations of a flat water cell.
  1. Both the Cathode & Anode Electrodes and membrane barriers in Envirolyte round water cells consist of cylindrical tubes with a smooth inner surface that is much easier to keep free of scale than the multiple electrode plates and barrier membranes in a flat water cell.

While both round and flat water cells use Reverse Polarity as an Automatic Self-Cleaning Feature, its effectiveness in a flat water cell is limited by the multiple plates and membranes that are in close proximity to one another which can become blocked through the build-up of scale

  1. With Envirolyte round cell technology, there is unimpeded hydraulic flow of the Feed Water through smooth-walled cylindrical tubes which are used for both the electrodes and separation membranes with the Envirolyte system design engineered for uniform laminar flow of Feed Water within an Electric Double Layer [EDL] where the electrical field intensity reaches hundreds of thousands of volts per centimeter.

Since the EDL is very thin – about 0.1mm in weak solutions and much thinner in concentrated solutions – Envirolyte Electrolytic Reactors are designed to insure maximum treatment of the micro-volumes of laminar water flow as it passes in close proximity to the Anode and Cathode.

  1. The smooth-walled surfaces of the cylindrical tubes used in Envirolyte commercial water electrolyzer cells do not have rough surfaces or components in close proximity that create blockage from scale build-up as with flat water cells.

Envirolyte round water ionizer cells do not require acid flushing as often as do flat water cells.

An Envirolyte round water cell can be best visualized as the "Ultimate Form of Teflon" -- to which virtually nothing sticks or isn’t mostly removed by the Envirolyte Automatic Self-Flushing System.
